    Chapter 8:  MySQL APIs 599 Return Values A MYSQL_RES result structure.  NULL if an error occurred. Errors CR_COMMANDS_OUT_OF_SYNC Commands were executed in an improper order. CR_OUT_OF_MEMORY Out of memory. CR_SERVER_GONE_ERROR The MySQL server has gone away. CR_SERVER_LOST The connection to the server was lost during the query. CR_UNKNOWN_ERROR An unknown error occurred. 8.4.4  C Threaded Function Descriptions You need to use the following functions when you want to create a threaded client.   See Section 8.4.8 [Threaded clients], page 604. 8.4.4.1  my_init() void my_init(void) Description This function needs to be called once in the program before calling any MySQL function. This  initialises  some  global  variables  that  MySQL  needs.   If  you  are  using  a  thread-safe client library, this will also call mysql_thread_init() for this thread. This is automatically called by mysql_init(), mysql_server_init() and mysql_connect(). Return Values None. 8.4.4.2  mysql_thread_init() my_bool mysql_thread_init(void)
